Step 1: Create a ClickUp OAuth App

Go to ClickUp Integrations

Navigate to ClickUp Settings → Apps and sign in.

Create an app

Click Create an App.

Configure your app

Enter the app name and add the Redirect URI from the Developer Portal as the Redirect URL.

Get your credentials

Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Never share your Client Secret publicly. Store it securely and only enter it in the Alter Vault Developer Portal.

Step 2: Add to Alter Vault

Open the Developer Portal

Go to portal.alterauth.com and navigate to your app.

Add ClickUp provider

Go to OAuth Providers > Add Provider > ClickUp.

Enter credentials

  • Client ID: Paste your ClickUp Client ID
  • Client Secret: Paste your ClickUp Client Secret

Save

Click Save. The provider is now active.

Notes

  • ClickUp does not use scopes. The OAuth token grants access based on the user’s workspace permissions.
