Use Shortcut credentials to make authenticated API calls through Alter Vault without exposing your API keys in code.

Step 1: Get Your Credentials

Log in to Shortcut

Log in to Shortcut at app.shortcut.com.

Go to Settings → Account → API Tokens

Go to Settings → Account → API Tokens at app.shortcut.com/settings/account/api-tokens.

Generate a token

Click ‘Generate Token’.

Copy your token

Copy the generated API token.
Never share your credentials publicly. Store them securely and only enter them in the Alter Vault Developer Portal.

Step 2: Add to Alter Vault

Open the Developer Portal

Go to portal.alterauth.com and navigate to your app.

Add Shortcut

Go to Managed Secrets > Add Provider > Shortcut.

Enter your credentials

Paste your API Token into the credential field.

Save

Click Save. You’ll receive a grant_id to use with the SDK.
